I love my darlings and by darling I mean my potted plants, houseplants, indoor plants or whatever you would like to call them. They are like people to me and I name them all. This past weekend I spent Sunday with my siblings. I low key tricked my sisters into helping me repot some pot bound plants and take care of others.
Potted plants is a thing that I got from my Grandma Rose she had plants everywhere in her tiny apartment. I know right now its a trendy thing to include them as part of the design for a room. I just generally love a good potted plant because they are nice to look at and also add so much decor detail. They make space feel lived in and like home without having to do much.
I also like a good flower pot and most times I find they don’t have drainage holes. I have to do a DIY post on how I drilled holes in my ceramic, Terracotta and glass pots. I even drilled holes in a vintage flower pot, because its a horse and nothing I tried would grow. I’m currently deciding if I want to try succulents or a vine because they grow like weeds in most conditions.
I would like to blame the lack of drainage holes for the reason my succulents, fiddle leaf fig and African violets died. I have yet to keep succulents, African violets or fiddle leaf figs alive without killing them. I think I loved them a little to hardย with the liquid gold (water). Along with my new drill bit and super plant food I plan to have the best potted plants ever this summer.
What’s your favorite potted plant?
