I recently had the opportunity to partner with Rooms to Go on a dining room refresh. The last three years I’ve had an accent wall with a tropical print. The wallpaper was adorable but then I started shifting textiles in and out of the space. The dining room became a space that had way too much color and pattern going on in a bad way.
I had tropical inspired pink and green curtains. The new rug didn’t work with the wallpaper. The old rug was a good boho shag that I adored but it wasn’t very practical under a dining room table.
Mid-century Glam Color Filled Dining Room Refresh
Therefore when I selected the new pieces from Rooms to Go I wanted something that popped but also kept the room fun. I am not that formal of a girl but I do enjoy decorating the space as such. It works for my current lifestyle and family dynamics. I eat mostly in the breakfast nook and enjoy having something nice to look at when I enter my home.
The chairs are my replacement for the tropical wallpaper. They are a shade between orange and red. They sometimes are redder than they are orange. I find with the new sideboard it balances the space with the wood tones. I replaced the wallpaper with a print I found on Etsy. I spent an hour searching hard for a large scale digital download. The frame is from Michaels. It was on sale for $16.00 and an additional 20% online and I picked it up in store. Hack alert! I printed the digital download at Office Depot as an engineer print for $6.95.
