Design a bedroom on a budget from bedframe to bedding
Let me tell you about my hack for outfitting a room with a new bed and decor. First and foremost let’s agree to get rid of the box spring. Its so much better without one and the new platform bed is way higher than in the 70’s when platform beds all seemed to be low and on the floor.
I say invest in a good mattress or not get yourself a cheap and cheerful version if you so desire. It’s all about the value for you personally. I am not here to judge but instead provide a platform for you to outfit a room in style and at minimum cost.
Design a Bedroom on a budget
- Platform Bed frame (Amazon)
- A mattress in a box or a local mattress outlet (Amazon). I am a fan of the Zinus bed in the box on Amazon.
- Invest in white linen (trust me bleach works wonders) like a duvet cover. It takes up less room and you can play around with the occasional pop of color if you like. Just throw away the idea you need buy a bed in a bag. I mean I have owned my fair share of them, and today I don’t have single set. Trust me don’t do it.
- Decorate with the throw pillows and a blanket for colors
- Headboards – DIY, make it yourself, Vintage but only non-fabric options, or Amazon.
